3 Stirling athletes competed at the Biathle and Triathle World Championships in Batumi, Georgia. Triathle: Youth B Boys (U/17) Teko Khetsi 15th in the Finals, and was part of the South African Team that won a silver medal. Youth B Girls (U/17) Tara Schwulst 6th in the Finals, and was part of the South African Team that won a silver medal. Biathle: Youth C Girls (U/15) Sheree Brandt 11th in the Semi-finals. Siya Makuzeni - Top jazz artist / ex-Stirling pupil

Siya Makuzeni will be returning to her home town and alma mater on Friday 2 October where she will be performing with top South African jazz outfit - Marcus Wyatt & Language 12 - at the Stirling Auditorium. Siya was a top member of the Stirling Big Band playing trombone and later venturing into jazz vocals and studied music at Rhodes University and Pretoria Technikon. The Vocal Celebration took place on 20 August in the Stirling Auditorium. A feast of vocal items were presented by Stirling High School and guest performers were The Grens & Cambridge High School Vocal Groups.
Lise Siebert wins Da Gama Competition

Grade 10 Stirling pupil, Lise Siebert took top honours at the 6th Da Gama Interschools Fashion Design Competition held at the Guild Theatre on 23 July 2015. She was crowned the overall Best Designer.

Grade 12 student, Danté Robberts introduced Stirling High School to the Wili/Planga family in the school assembly on Friday 14 August. This is the family that Stirling High School has been supporting this year in the FEEDBACK FRIDAY initiative where each class in the school spends one week in the year helping a family in need. The objective is to provide the family with nutritious food to promote a healthy lifestyle. Each week a class brings food, bedding, toys or old clothes for the family by Friday.

Stirling students did exceptionally well over the holidays, with 16 students achieving at a national level in the following codes: SA U16 Water Polo, SA U20 Water Polo, SA Biathle, SA Triathle, SA Synchronised Swimming, SA U16 Hockey, National Schools Jazz Band, Grahamstown National Piano Competition & the National Life Science Olympiad.
Stirling Drum Majorette Reunion

Last term the Stirling Drummies held a reunion at Buffs Club. Mark Wilkins, Piet & Eve Janson and all the drummie leaders, squad members, parents and friends of Stirling Drum Majorettes got together to reconnect and share in the legacy of Stirling Drummies.
Stirling takes 2nd prize in WRC Eco-School mini-SASS Challenge

Stirling High School was chosen as the runner up for the Water Research Commission (WRC) Eco-School mini-SASS Challenge which was open to all Eco-Schools. The prize of R25 000, was received by Chad Rasmussen and Sydney Nel at the National Youth Water and Sanitation Summit Award Ceremony held by the Department of Water and Sanitation in Johannesburg.
Luke Malherbe surfs up a storm

Luke Malherbe had an excellent weekend in Jeffreys Bay last weekend. He came 4th in the premier U20 Division and was named the surfer of the contest. Congratulations Luke!
