The Stirling Grade 8s are collecting breadtags to donate to the Sweetheart Foundation, in support of the provision of wheelchairs for the disabled. Altogether 6kg of breadtags were collected. Pictured is 8JM, who won the inter-class competition for Term 1.

Border Schools Rugby Day

The Border Girls U19 Water Polo team did very well in the national interprovincial championships in December in Port Elizabeth, being pipped into second place in the final against Southern Gauteng. Eight members of the squad of 11 came from Stirling and two Stirling students – Xanthé Ibbotson and Rebecca Ansell - were selected subsequently for the National Schools U18 squad. Both have played for South African teams in the past.

Class of 2017 Matric Results

The Grade 12 class of Stirling did excellently in their final exams: 100% pass rate again, 76% Bachelor pass rate (university exemption), 213 subject As (second-best subject A % in East London), over 30% of the 205 members of the 2017 class attained a an A or B aggregate, three students - Anastasio de Agrela, Thimna Sotyato, Laura-Jean Runchman (pic) – attained 7 subject distinctions
